Trenching Rescue Course
(UCSD 3012)

This three-day course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to perform basic rescues from trench collapse incidents and to assist emergency responders.  The course can be designed for the industrial rescue team or fire departments.  The course will include information on soil types, reasons and types of collapse, emergency shoring techniques with lumber, screw jacks, hydraulic and pneumatic shoring, and patient care.  The course will follow the requirements in N.F.P.A. 1670 and 29 CFR 1926.650-652.
