Safety Inspection Techniques for the Construction Industry

This two-day course introduces the most common used construction safety inspection standards, tools and techniques. The emphasis is on an organized approach to inspecting and auditing construction projects to insure both OSHA compliance and injury prevention. Checklists and procedures will be provided and analyzed. The course highlight is a teaching inspection visit to a nearby construction project and preparation of a final inspection report. This is an introductory course for the construction industry.

Required Equipment: Students will need safety shoes, hard hats, and appropriate clothing for field exercise.
