OSHA Drill for First Responders
(UCSD 2016)

This one-day training exercise is designed to provide first responders with an increased capability and confidence to handle hazardous material events most likely to occur in their own work environment.  Four hours of class lecture will review incident command/scene management, mitigation and control and site safety plans.  Four hours of hands-on exercises, specifically designed to provide experience in scene management, work zones, isolation and control, decontamination and use of personal protective clothing and equipment.

This program meets the annual refresher requirement described in 29 CFR 1910.120 State of California Regulation CCR 5192 Title 8.  This course may be tailored for the Biotech industry, or other "small quantity" hazardous substance generators.

Minimum Required Prerequisite: 24 Hour HAZWOPER training.
