Business Disaster Preparedness (UCSD 8600)
This introductory workshop will guide students to identify and plan for disaster preparedness as it affects their facility. Using a risk management approach, the students will learn how to protect their company, personnel and assets from any kind of a disaster. Students will learn to conduct a vulnerability assessment to find out where their facility has weak points in its structure or personnel, then conduct a threat analysis to determine what kinds of threats may be launched against their firms.
Topics Include:
Role of Federal Agencies, Emergency Action Planning, Managing the Risk, and Introduction to the Threats.
Note: Travel plans must accommodate the 4:30 p.m. end time.
