Occupational Safety and Health Courses

As your partner of choice, UCSD's Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Department is dedicated to providing high-quality, innovative and cutting edge education and training services. This training is has been developed to enhance professional and career opportunities for health and safety professionals. UCSD's OSHA Department currently offers courses in Cal/OSHA based standards, OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) authorized curriculum, Train-the-Trainer OTIEC courses and UCSD-developed health and safety classes.

Cal/OSHA Courses
These courses will present Occupational Safety & Health topics as they relate to the state of California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health (better known as Cal/OSHA) standards and regulations. Though most applicable to students within California, courses are open to all students. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.

The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for students on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The courses below enable students to teach the 10- and 30-hour classes that result in OSHA Outreach Program course completion cards for their students. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.
