This is a free two day Train-the-Trainer Course to teach employees how to evacuate healthcare facilities, including staff and patients during a physical disaster. The course includes training on evacuation protocols, including subsequent training materials for facility employees. The first day covers current OSHA regulations and legal issues, substantial background on healthcare facility evacuation, worker safety and operational techniques. The second day covers "Command and Control" structure under which facilities operate using a comprehensive set of table top scenarios designed to expose the student to Command Structure, Chain of Command, and impromptu problem solving. Upon conclusion the student will have gained substantial knowledge and will be better prepared to implement planning for and management of individual, local and regional evacuations.
Classroom seats will be managed on a first come, first serve basis so enroll early. A refundable $50 deposit is required to enroll, and will be refunded upon successful completion of the course.
