Collateral Duty Course for Federal Agencies (OSHA 6000)
This course introduces federal agency collateral duty (part-time) safety
and health personnel to the OSH Act, Executive Order 12196, 29 CFR 1960,
and 29 CFR 1910. It enables them to recognize basic safety and health hazards
in their own workplaces and to effectively assist agency safety and health
officers in their inspection and abatement efforts. The course highlight
is a mock inspection of a government facility to provide hands-on experience.
Required Prerequisite: None.
Personal Protective Equipment: Students will need safety shoes and
appropriate clothing for field exercise.

Identify selected safety and health hazards and OSHA standards
